Help and FAQ

Answers about your account, billing, your data and technical issues.

About Psyra

What is Psyra for?

Psyra offers general emotional support, journaling, self-reflection and relaxation tools for adults navigating everyday stress. It is intended for personal wellbeing, without a medical purpose.

Is Psyra a therapist or a medical device?

Psyra is an AI, not a health professional. It is not intended for use as a medical device, or for diagnosing, treating or monitoring a medical condition. It does not replace medical care or therapy.

Who can use Psyra?

Psyra is for adults aged 18 and over. Availability depends on your location. If a restriction applies, the app explains it; crisis resources remain accessible.

Can support help in an emergency?

The support inbox is for questions about the app and your account. It is not monitored as an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. The crisis resources page lists ways to find urgent support.

Account and conversations

I cannot sign in. What should I try?

Check that you are using the same sign-in method as when you registered. For an email and password account, use the password reset link on the sign-in page. Check your spam folder for verification or reset emails. If you remain locked out, use the contact form.

How do I change my email or password?

Open Settings, then Account. The available account and security controls depend on your sign-in method. A Google sign-in account uses Google for authentication. If a change is unavailable or fails, contact support.

Where are my conversations?

Open Conversations to find your saved exchanges. Check that you are signed into the expected account. If something appears missing, tell support approximately when it happened; avoid copying private conversation text into the public contact form.

Can I use the contact form without an account?

Yes. The public contact form asks for your name, reply email, topic and question. Signed-in users can open a support ticket in Settings, read replies and optionally share one conversation securely.

Plans and billing

Where can I see prices and what my plan includes?

Settings, then Membership, shows the available plans, prices and allowances. Review the amount, currency and renewal details displayed at checkout before paying. The terms page describes purchases and subscriptions.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Open Settings, then Membership, and use the subscription management controls. Review the effective cancellation date shown in the billing flow. If a billing action fails or you cannot access your account, contact support.

How do I report a charge or request a refund?

Open a billing support ticket or use the contact form if you cannot sign in. Include the date, amount and purchase reference if available. Never send a full card number, password or security code. Applicable consumer rights remain protected.

Payment succeeded but my plan has not changed. What now?

Refresh the app and check Membership. Payment confirmation can take a little time to reach the app. If the plan still looks wrong, contact support with the payment reference. Avoid making a second purchase while the first is being checked.

Privacy and your data

Can I see and change what Psyra remembers?

You can review the memory controls in the app and correct or remove remembered information. You can pause remembering and choose not to retain memory from a particular conversation. These controls are separate from deleting the conversation itself.

How do I export or delete my data?

Open Settings, then Privacy & data, to download a JSON export or delete your account. The export includes stored support threads and permission records; it does not package every image file. Account deletion removes database records and attempts cleanup in separate storage and search services. Backups expire under the backup retention policy.

What happens after two years without using Psyra?

Accounts become eligible for deletion after 730 days without activity. A successful warning email must be sent at least 30 days before deletion; signing in or using the account keeps it active. Administrators and accounts with an ongoing paid subscription are excluded. Encrypted backups follow a separate 14-day retention policy.

What can the support team see?

Support can read the ticket and attachments you send and the account information needed to handle your request. To investigate a private conversation, you can optionally share its existing user and AI text for up to seven days. Only that conversation is shared; later messages, images, journals, memories and internal prompts are excluded. You can revoke access in the ticket. Closing the ticket ends access. Access times and reasons appear in the ticket; revocation cannot undo information already viewed.

Voice and technical help

My microphone does not work. What can I check?

Allow microphone access for this website in your browser and operating system. Check that the correct microphone is selected and another app is not using it. Try reloading the page. You can continue by typing while you investigate.

A reply or saved item seems stuck. What should I do?

Check your connection and use the retry or recovery action shown in the app. Keep any unsent text until you know it was saved. If the issue continues, tell support which screen you were using and roughly when it happened.

What should I include in a bug report?

Describe what you tried, what you expected and what happened. Include your browser, device and approximate time. Screenshots can help, but remove passwords, payment details and unrelated private information. Signed-in tickets accept up to three images, 5 MB each.

How do I contact a person after checking the FAQ?

Use the support link below. When signed in, it opens your support tickets in Settings; otherwise, it opens the public contact form. You can ask a question without sharing any private conversation. Replies to signed-in tickets appear in the app.

Still need help?

Send your question to our team. Sharing a private conversation is optional and available only through tickets sent from your account.
