A private alternative to ChatGPT for talking about yourself
ChatGPT and other general assistants are built to answer anything, from code to cooking. Many people also use them to talk about themselves. But when it comes to your difficult evenings or your worries, the right criteria are not the ones that matter for drafting an email.
A tool for everything, or one made for you
A general assistant answers the question you ask, then moves on. Making progress on an everyday difficulty usually takes something else: help putting it into words, one small step to try, and someone who remembers it next time.
Psyra is built around that path: talk it through, choose one small step, come back to it. The journal, your daily mood, and your weekly check-in and letter carry the conversation forward.
Where your words go
Before talking about yourself, look at where your conversations are stored, whether they are encrypted and whether they can be used for advertising. The answers vary a lot from one service to another.
With Psyra, the servers and database are in Germany, in the European Union, and your sensitive text is encrypted before it is stored. To reply to you, your messages are processed by our AI providers, outside the EU: we would rather say so plainly. Psyra shows no ads and never sells your data.
A memory you can see
Remembering what you said last week is useful. But you should be able to know what is kept, and change it.
In Psyra, the Memory tab shows everything kept for your next sessions. You can correct it, hide it, delete it, or pause memory before a session.
Difficult moments
A tool that accompanies personal topics needs to know how to respond when things are really hard.
Psyra pays attention to signs of distress and keeps crisis resources one tap away. It does not replace emergency services: if you are in danger, call 112.
How to choose
Trying several tools is not a bad choice. Keep these criteria in mind: storage and encryption, advertising, visible memory, easy deletion, and how a crisis is handled.
Psyra is free to start, with no card. You can export or delete your data at any time.
